A noble residence that tells centuries of art, memory, and family identity.
CURIOSITY
Palazzo Torriani was built at the end of the 16th century in the center of Marradi, on the initiative of the Razzi family, atop the remains of a pre-Roman tower. The project soon proved too ambitious, and the palace passed to the Torriani family, originally from Milan, who were forced to leave the city after violent power struggles with the Visconti.
The Torriani completed the building in the second half of the 17th century, establishing their residence there to this day. On the entrance door stands the elegant family coat of arms, carved in sandstone: a tower flanked by two lions, symbols of their history and prestige.
Inside, one can admire important decorations by Galileo Chini, master of Italian Liberty style, created in the early 1900s, and a striking ceiling canvas by Silvestro Lega, depicting a tragic family event.
The atmosphere is completed by an eclectic collection of historical furnishings, family heirlooms, and an extraordinary collection of clocks, visible in every room: a fascinating journey through time, blending elegance and memory.
